Do not use Acetone to remove gel nails
Certain women are very particular about the way they look and they pay a lot of attention in attaching fake nails on top of their real nails, simply applying nail polish does not matter much these days. Women now apply gel nails and acrylic nails to enhance the beauty of their hands. Nails made of gel are a great option as they affordable and above all they are very beautiful. You also have the option of adding nails art on them to enhance the look. The good thing is that you can buy these nails at any store that sells cosmetic products. These nails are very easy to attach; you have the option of doing it all by yourself or you can go to salon that provides such services.
Removing gel nails is not a difficult thing to do; you can use acetone but this substance is very harmful for the nails in the long run. There are so many women that use gel which is free from acetone to remove these nails; then again you should go to a salon to have the nails removed as the professionals can do a good job. The salons employ trained staff so it is always an advantage to get them to remove the nails but if you want to do it by yourself then there are two methods discussed below which can really help you.
The soaking method using a bowl
To begin the procedure you will have to pour warm water in the bowl and mix remover in it. You must then soak your fingers in the water for sometime; after that remove your fingers and wrap then in a towel for at least 30mins. Dry your fingers well and begin removing your nails with a cuticle cleaner.
Removal using Foil wrap
To initiate the removal procedure you must prepare the nails by removing all the enamel. Use a 240 file to rub the surface of the nail. Put the remover in the bowl of hot water for at least 2 minutes and not a minute longer. You can use a cotton pad to drench by placing it on the surface. You will then have to cover the cotton pad very securely with tin foil so that you can prevent evaporation. Use a cuticle cleaner to make sure that the product has come off from the fingers completely. After that you must wash your hands properly.
